Club-Mate is a carbonated energy drink made from Yerba Mate plant extract, which is a natural stimulant and antioxidant. It contains a relatively large amount of caffeine (20mg per 100ml) and a low amount of sugar, reduces thirst, refreshes and stimulates the nervous system, and does not burden the heart.
Club-Mate became popular on the Berlin club scene in the ’90s as an alternative to unhealthy energy drinks. It meets the standards of ecological and organic production: it is based only on natural ingredients and, in order to protect the environment, is only available in a glass bottle.
