Featuring the original 1976 master, half-speed mastering, colored vinyl, the original artwork, and the originally intended track listing, this 50th anniversary edition of Sad Wings of Destiny has been restored from the original 1976 analog master tapes and represents the definitive version of the album.

Originally released in 1976, Sad Wings of Destiny is regarded as one of the most influential albums in heavy metal history and played a major role in shaping the genre, with classics such as “Victim of Changes,” “The Ripper,” and “Tyrant.”

Produced in collaboration with Judas Priest, this edition was specially mastered for vinyl using the half-speed mastering process. The technique preserves the power and dynamic range of the original analog recordings while also delivering exceptional clarity and depth.

The album is presented in the sequence originally intended by the band, beginning with “Prelude,” thereby restoring the original listening experience. The LP comes in the iconic original artwork and is pressed on Galaxy Yellow/Orange Mix vinyl. It is also once again available as a great-sounding CD.
